LOST RECAP...WHAT I GOT out of TRICIA TANAKA IS DEAD S03EP10

(Remember, Vanessa, Jim and myself DO NOT watch trailers/previews for the NEXT WEEK or spoilers, let’s just focus on what we THINK will happen and RECAPS)

First off for this week, I want to take a second a honor the family and friends for the two LOST crew members who had past away from heart attacks last week. Very sad news, and I hope for the best with everyone.

Sorry, didn’t mean to start off so harsh, so, let’s go to some THANK YOU’S. THANK YOU to EVERYONE who reads the blog, I saw that my blog post on “Stranger in A Strange Land” was #21 in the most popular/viewed blogs on Myspace in Movies, Television, and Celeb’s last Friday and throughout the weekend. YOU GUYS RULE! THANK YOU!

Okay, let’s talk about tonight’s episode, “Trisha Tanaka Is Dead.” For most of us, I’m sure we felt it was really heart felt, sweet and it was a “finally we get to see the Losties again” episode. But like Twin Peaks always said, the owls are not what they seem. DIG DEEPER.

RECAP!

“SHAMBALA” by Three Dog Night:
If we remember, in Season One, Hurley was listening to a song on his CD player about “I got troubles oh, but not today, Cause they're gonna wash away, They're gonna wash away”. The song was called “Wash Away” from Joe Purdy. Last night, while fixing the car Hurley comes out with his tape player listening to Three Dog Night’s “(Road to) Shambala” which also comes back on while Charlie and him kick start the VW. In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Shambhala is a mystical kingdom, ”Pure Land”, hidden somewhere beyond the snowpeaks of the Himalayas. Man, I love this show. SO FRIGGIN’ SMART!

RED FLOWER:
Hurley puts a red flower on Libby’s grave. I need to look into this red flower. Why now, why red? Anyone know?

LUCKY RABBITS FOOT/WE MAKE OUR OWN LUCK:
First, Hurley’s dad says it in the car while fixing it., “Good things will happen and they will”. But then he says, “In this world, we got to make our own luck.” In this “world” huh? This episode focuses mostly on luck, but what of hope? Was it hope that started the van? Sawyer also says “If it’s hope your looking for, you’re on the wrong damn island.” Then go to the other island Hurley. But! Listen to your daddy and not Sawyer, hope is not stupid.

HURLEY:
Hurley is at this point, TURNED AROUND, big time. Yes, he’s crazy, but maybe this is what he needs to go sane. Maybe it wasn’t the mental hospital to help him, but the island. He got rid of Dave on the island, what else can he cure. So, with Hurley going through all this, finally he might not be the cute cuddly “Snuffy” we know. Hurley has lifted this curse? So what happens now? Also, read VW and VINCENT for more of something deeper with Hurley.

SOMETHING I FOUND INTERESTING:
AMAH. Hurley’s father’s motorcycle (probably for advertising/legal reasons) is a YAMAHA, but the Y and the last A are taken off. AMAH is a term used in other dialect, as a woman employed by a family to clean, look after children, etc. In a legend of Mosuo, small ethnic group in China, border of Tibet, closer to the Himalayas tells a story of a rock in Hong Kong, and according to legend, a faithful wife waited loyally for her fisherman husband, not knowing he had drowned and was turned into a rock by the goddess of the sea. Nice!

VW VAN and VINCENT:

Oh no everyone, DO NOT GET EXCITED and think this “FEEL GOOD” episode was what you are thinking, cause this episode was anything but “FEEL GOOD.” Hurley says to Charlie (of all people) “I’m kind of cursed, death finds me dude.” And who else comes after that but Mr. Death himself, Vincent! Adorable Vincent happens to bring the arm of a SAWN HATCH “Work Man” named Roger. Roger’s arm is holding a key and a rabbit’s foot (good luck) attached, and Vincent requests Hurley’s assistance. Things seem peachy, but why now this VW van? What will this van bring, who will die? We haven’t seen Vincent even before the death of Eko, and Vincent seems to show up when he’s doing his scouting, then shape shift when it’s kill time. ALSO! Vincent is protecting Hurley and watching Sawyer and Jin when Hurley is praying, wait, what? Yes, Hurley was praying. Something is connected with Vincent and Hurley. Vincent sniffs out the bad, and we know Hurley isn’t supposed to be on the island, so what does Vincent need with Hurley. Vincent WANTS Charlie! He’s bad! Keep READING!

ROGER:
Who is Roger? Is he dead from a curse? I’m gathering it’s not Radzinski since he blew his head off, but who was Roger? I think the show is still telling us drinking and driving is bad, right Cynthia and Michelle?

RUNNING OUT OF FOOD/RECYCLING:
I don’t know, something might be happening on the island where everyone has to fend for himself or herself again. Sawyer mentions recycling. Recycling? Why?

BROKEN CURSES:
Charlie was with Hurley when Hurley lifted this curse. So does this mean Charlie is safe, these visions that Desmond had a flash of the past?

SAWYER LOVES CHILDREN'S TV:
Little House (on The Prairie) huh? But hat about Sawyer calling Hurley “Snuffy” (my fav), and “Blockhead” (Peanuts, Charlie Brown), or Skeletor (He-Man). Cute? A little too much? Whichever it is, is there more than meets the eye? Ha! Sorry, I had to!

All I have to say to Kate, Locke, Danielle (can we call her that yet?), and Sayid is LOOK UP!!!!

Which leads to our PREDICTIONS (not SPOILERS!!!!):

LOCKE and SAYID – will split up with Danielle and Kate to take on Patch In the Hatch since this next episode is a Sayid centric episode. Sorry, I saw this on TV.com doing a I’m Feeling Lucky on Google when I typed in Tricia Tanaka is Dead. Sayid has a passed that he wants gone, but I feel with a flashback episode of Sayid, we have warfare to come. Also, Patch has someone or sometwo telling him someone might be coming. Wonder who it is? I hate those two, arguing over Dharma Oat Bars,

DANIELLE and KATE – will spilt up with Locke and Sayid to go and find her daughter. But, when getting to the island and find it’s OTHERS deserted, they will bump into Cindy and the “Watchers”. They will lead them the right way, but it will be Karl who KILLS Danielle thinking she is trying to harm Alex instead of helping her. Whoa mama!

CHARLIE – Not safe yet, are you? But wait! What if he is? And that leads to someone else to die. Like Claire. This might sound a little too Final Destination but works, what if she was next in line to die, since she was drowning, and in the tarp house when lightning struck. SHE WAS CLOTHED IN THE EATER FOR F’s SAKE! Something’s gotta give with her, she’s not safe. Aaron NEEDS to be given away. Also, what if Vincent was seeing if Hurley had power over Charlie, and which he does. So Vincent goes ahead and makes Hurley use Charlie for something and kills Claire. Ha! Okay, sorry! You never know!

NIKKI and PAOLO – F’ these two! They are bad, awful, worse, terrible, dreadful, worst, very bad, much worse and horrible. NO GOOD! Not to be trusted. Plus, they are a cheap way of bringing two new characters to thee show. I have a feeling Paolo may rule as a bad guy soon, but not as a Lostie. Paolo comes out of the bathroom in the hatch when patch decides to go to the camera. Paolo told him they were watching him. Only way! There’s no motion detector I’m thinking, so Patch knew they were watching him. Bollocks! Paolo, in the bathroom, radio’d while flushing and said “go to the camera, I think we’re watching you!” BAM! PATCH! YEAH BOY!
